🌟🌟We had our Head of the Herd Assembly yesterday, and our Colts absolutely shined! 🌟🌟
Each month, students from every grade are chosen for showing outstanding behavior, kindness, leadership, and all-around awesomeness. These kids truly set the pace for the whole herd.

MCSD will be closed on November 11th in observance of Veteran's Day. Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans - living or dead, but especially recognizes living veterans who served honorably during war or peacetime.

We are thrilled to introduce a brand-new event to our Halloween festivities! Thanks to our Student Leadership Team, this year, we’re hosting our first-ever costume contest!
October 30th at 1:30pm we will all come together for an assembly in the Gym. We’ve invited three amazing community members to be our guest judges! They will choose -
🏆 Best of Show (Individual Award) – recognizing the most standout costume
🏆Class Award – the entire winning class will enjoy an ice cream party at a time chosen by their teacher!
We can’t wait to see the creativity and school spirit come to life. Let’s make this new tradition a fun and memorable one! 👻🎉

Teachers are looking forward to sitting down with families to talk about how students are doing, what they’re proud of, and goals for the rest of the year. These conferences are a great chance to celebrate progress and work together to support each child’s success.
⏰ Please help us stay on schedule by arriving a few minutes early for your conference time. This helps us give each family the full time and attention they deserve.

With school back in session our buildings have started their annual safety drills. These are a state requirement and help prepare our school communities for a variety of safety / emergency scenarios. The attached flyer outlines the names of the drills and the scenarios they are used for. As always, if you have questions please visit with your building principal.

The watermelons have arrived! Over the next few weeks students will get to enjoy local Walchli watermelons as part of their school lunch. As a reminder school meals are free to all students every day! (Seconds do have a cost). This opportunity is funded through the Farm to School food grant.
