Morrow County School District celebrated its Crystal Apple Award winners at the "Excellence in Education" Awards banquet on Monday, May 11.
Tina Crowell is a school-based counselor at Windy River Elementary.
Jennifer Pope is an English Language Learners (ELL) teacher at A.C. Houghton Elementary.
Stefanie Spivey is a social studies teacher at Heppner Jr./Sr. High School.
Dave Fowler was presented with the Legacy Award this year. Dave is a Manufacturing teacher at Heppner Jr./Sr. High School. Having taught at the school for 37 years, his commitment to high-quality instruction, paired with his dedication to students, has helped build a strong Technology and Manufacturing program at the school. Thank you for your years of steadfast service to the Morrow County School District.

Due to construction of the new circuit courthouse, Heppner Elementary School will have a new AFTERNOON pick-up plan.
👉 This change ONLY affects afternoon pick-up. Morning drop-off will stay the same.

Parent Pick-Up:
• Parents will park along the road by the tennis courts
• Please line up back toward the fairgrounds
• Staff will assist students into vehicles
• Please do NOT block Stansbury St.
Bus Riders:
• Students will exit through the front office doors
• Buses will be lined up in between the buildings

Our Leadership students are teaming up with Heppner FFA’s Backpack Program, which provides weekend meals and snacks for students who could use a little extra support when school isn’t in session.
We’re helping them stock the shelves for Christmas Break and we’d love your support!
Drop off donations in the HES school office from November 24 – December 17.
