Last year’s Run-A-Thon was a great success and we appreciate everyone who supported our students! We are so excited to do it again this year, with a few changes! HES’s Student Council members are helping organize, fundraise, and direct our Fun Run. We were motivated by the upcoming “Civil War,” so students will be representing both of our Oregon football teams. The Fun Run date will be held November 21st, just days before our Oregon teams face off. Weather permitting we will host the run on our adjoining football field. If the weather is uncooperative, we will need to make sure we dress for the gym!!
You are personally invited to support our Civil War Fun Run! While the purpose of this event is to raise money, it also promotes physical fitness and builds school spirit while creating a fun and memorable way for our students to participate in supporting their education. Student Council members are also exercising their leadership roles while assisting in the fundraiser. This event was created to raise funds for our ASB account. Our ASB funds contribute to our basketball reading, annual outdoor school, field trips, Red Ribbon Week, Dr. Seuss Day, Fun Day activities/prizes, Field Day, and a multitude of educational activities. If each student brings in a total of $50 in pledges we will be able to reach our goal.
